Feathers

A cab driver is caught up in the mysterious relationship between twins, one of whom is a pre-op transsexual.

More than anything, Feathers wants to become a woman. That is, until he falls in love with Fred. But as Fred likes Feathers just the way he is, Feathers is forced to choose between being himself and being loved. When Feathers’ twin Mary arrives to investigate her brother’s suicide, the increasingly guilt-ridden and panicked Fred can no longer distinguish dead lover from vengeful sister.

Sailing Somewhere

Beneath the deck of a ship, a lounge singer drinks her memories away. A one-woman play with songs.

Counting down the days until she is reunited with her estranged daughter, her regrets start to surface. With evocative songs by Conor Mitchell, the piece is a sometimes funny, sometimes haunting portrait of a mother’s guilt.

Traitor, warrior, widow and martyr: a contemporary re-imagining of the stories of four female characters from the Old Testament.

From seduction, torture and decapitation to infanticide and rape, these are women surviving in violent times. Re-cast in a psychologically truthful light, the tales of the Old Testament are shocking even by today’s sensationalist tabloid standards. This play explores what “God” and faith means to the prostitute Rahab, the army wife Bathsheba, the seductress Judith and the martyr Hannah.
